Livy Reads is building a tool to help those learning to read English, whether it’s a child just picking up their first chapter book or anyone learning English as a second language.
There is no doubt that countless tools have been developed to help those learning to read. We believe that all of those tools have their place and can be useful. Livy Reads isn’t trying to discredit any of them. In fact, we are saying that those tools do a fantastic job in teaching people the rules of the English language, the rules of reading. What those tools don’t do is help people, once they have learned the rules of reading, to forget the rules in a sense, and just read.
